Trainer Profile

Tony Brook. Red Rock, Personal Development Services.

For a number of years now, I have studied and practiced to achieve my goal of becoming an expert in the field of Personal Development. I have learned much about myself, other people and how they interact.

My knowledge has been accumulated in part, during a successful 15 year career in industry where I have gathered a wealth of experience from my time in Production Management, Planning Management and Large scale IT systems implementation management (including SAP among others).

My interest in the field of personal development was fuelled by a desire to be successful in my working and personal life. Having mastered all of the technical skills required to perform my tasks in various roles I realised that technical competency was only one small aspect of what was required to be successful.

The real keys to success in life lie in having successful relationships with people.
Being able to communicate effectively and assertively, being able to stay calm, to alleviate stress, to understand yourself and others, to influence and motivate people, to cultivate a strong self-belief and determination. These are the tools to unlock the path to a lasting and happy success.

I have studied and practiced the teachings of leading motivational speakers, leading trainers in the field of personal development, behavioural psychologists, self help gurus, life coaches, renowned coaches and mentors;
Carl Jung, Lou Tice, Anthony Robbins, Dale Carnegie, Richard Bandler, Steven Covey, Paul Mckenna, Daniel Goleman, Hale Dwoskin, Brian Tracy, Kevin Trudeau and Paul Scheele along with many others.

I am also a licensed NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Master Practitioner.

This solid knowledge base has enabled me to construct and deliver training courses in such a way that the participants are given the very best chance of taking on and assimilating new skills and behaviours which can be of benefit both back in the workplace and other aspects of life, bringing meaningful, noticeable results, recognisable to both to the trainees and their employers.

Learning Principles
As with studying any subjects, there is a necessity to cover both the theoretical and the practical aspects of the topic at hand, however training courses with Red Rock are constructed with the emphasis very much on the practical and fun aspects of learning and learning quickly. This is very much in line with the latest research on human learning strategies and techniques.
Once the trainees have been exposed to practical experience of the subject matter, this is then built upon by providing the theories and further demonstrations using games, interesting team challenges and mental exercises in a fun and stimulating learning environment.

Trainees leave the courses armed with all the practical experience, knowledge and understanding they will require.
Once back in workplace they will be able to continue to practice and make progress on their own, although I would always advise that the ongoing support and coaching from the management team brings the best results in both the short and long term.
Red Rock attaches a great deal of importance to keeping up to date with all the latest research on effective learning techniques by regularly attending training seminars and courses, and by studying the latest literature.
